In Book #1 Sofia and her Family came to America from Italy, but unfortunately, Sofia was separated from her family while she has a check-up, the doctors afraid that she have eye problems so they wouldn’t let her in to America, now the only thing she can do is to Hope one day she could reunite with her Family again. In the hospital, Sofia knew another girl named Maureen, the doctors also thought she had eye problems so they both are leaved behind in the hospital; soon, they became close friends. And Finally leaved the hospital.
In Book #2, the girls finally reunited with their family. But the girls have to part because Sofia lived in the North End of Boston and Maureen lived in Brooklyn, New York. But then Maureen’s Mother died suddenly, and Maureen’s family became very poor, and if it didn’t turn away, Maureen have to go back to Ireland so Sofia asked her mom if Maureen can come to live with us she said yes. Sofia is so happy! But the rest of Maureen’s family had to go back to Ireland.
In book #3, When Sofia was joined by Maureen; they begin their new lives in Boston. Together, they had a lot of fun, adventures, and sometimes sadness.
