| The Hidden Girl: A True Story of the Holocaust | 07/14/2009 |
By Lola Rein Kaufman with Lois Metzger
I give this book 5 stars.
I read it 4 times!
This book is about a girl named Lola living in World War II. How she had to hide from the Germans and how she survived it all. It's sad to read about, yet it amazed me how everything turned out. Just when you think the story is done, something unexpected happen. Such as, when her city as liberated, and she can climb out of the hole she is hiding in, she had no where to go.. How she had to go from place to place to reunite with her family. How she had to deal with loss of her family. It's really sad...
This is a extraordinary book. It has been the best history book I have read so far (it's NOT a fiction. It's true and it has happened) I would recommend this book for anyone to read, especially for people who love reading about history.
